I, Lillian Krowen, will my studious nature to Gene Rice, who, we know, could make use of it. I, Gordon Lund, will my ability to get along with girls to Marlowe Onstad who would be doing OK on his own if it weren't for the flyboys. I, Marion Nordhagen, will my ability to get to school at 9:05 to Max- ine O. who will need a little practice. I, Dennis Espeland, will my football interests to Marvel M. Take good care of them Marv. Class History In the fall of 1908, 18 boys and girls begen their first days of high school at Westby. They were: Ronald Bakke, Selma Bervik, Dennis Espeland, Louise Hagen. Shirley Helseth, Wallace Johnsboen, Lillian Krowen, Darrell Linlnger, JoAnn Listoe, Gordon Lund, Dalton Moore, Doris Moore, Marvin Nelson, Marion Nordhagen, Marlys Nordhagen, LeRoy Olson, Sam Rice, and Duane Swartz. At the beginning of the second six weeks Wallace Johnsbosn discontinued his high school education. Toward the end of the first semester, Sam Rice became ill and was out of school for the balance of the year. In our sophomore year at Westby the following were elec- ted class officers: Selma Bervik, Pres., Gordon Lund, Vice Pres., and JoAnn Listoe, Sec. and Treas. Verlin Hansen was chosen as our class advisor. During our third year at Westby High, the following officers were elected: JoAnn Listoe. Pres.. LeRoy Olson, Vice Pres., and Marvin Nelson, Sec. and Trees. Elected class advisor was Evangeline Belling. Our Junior Class Play was 'Bolts and Nutsus A Junior-Senior Banquet was held in the First Lutheran Church basement, Saturday, May l2, at 5 o'clock in the evening. The theme was 'The Last Roundupu. After the banquet the first prom ever put on in Uestby was sponsored by our cless. It was held in the Westby High School Gymnasium. The theme was 'The Garden of Friendshipn. This yeer the group reached their final destination with an enrollment of 16 students. The class play, 'Mumbo Jumbo', was presented this fall. Our class officers are: Marvin Nelson, Pres., Ronald Bakke, Vice Pres., and Marlys Nordhagen, Sec. and Trees. We chose Robert Simkins as our class advisor. We face the future with hope and confidence. in
