The team did extremely well in post-season competitions. They clinched the Division Championships, and also took the Conference Championship in a four game roll-off from Great Neck South. Outstanding bowlers were Tom Condulis, who held high average (191) in the state for the second straight year, and his brother Nico, who held second high game in the lead. Other imponant bowlers were Joe Migliore, Steve Tromer. Scott Stillman, Gerald Colter, and Andrew Emanuel. 75 Soccer v ur, k U. Varsity ------- First:J Tuosto. T Ladavia. R Frank. R Rufrano. S Russell The Westbury Soccer team ended its difficult 1979 season with a record of 4- 10. The young squad opened the season up with a quick 2-1 record due to tre- mendous team spirit and motivation. However, plagued by injuries, the spirit fell, and unfortunately, so did the record. The team consisted of 95 of juniors, and almost all will be back next year, foreshadowing an excellent season for the soon to be experienced squad. The Dragons greatest honor came from when Chip Borders received All Division Conference, and County Team Merits. Other outstanding players for the team were juniors Rich Frank, Carl Booth, Steven Russell, Albert Rabil, Theron Corbin, and sophomore Winston Thompson. J.V. ------ First: S Miller. W Thompson.
