Up the Down Staircase was the first Se- nior play in 5 years to reap a profit from the hard work and effort invested in it by the cast. Rebecca Lemkin’s starring role as Sylvia Barrett was convincing and the cast was supported by Helen Lidstrom, Mark Gillum, and Michael Lee Davis. They worked long hours and many days to achieve their end product — one of very few, successful senior plays. 25

 I'm dancing and dancing and this song never seems to end! I'm so sick of eating pretzels that I wish the food would come. Weaving their way through the maze of red and white checked tables, the Juniors of 1971, each, received their se- nior ring. The theme was Italian Cuisine, and to carry it out six foot heros were served along with Italian style hors d'- oeuvres. The atmosphere was completed with candle light and music was provided by the Crimson Five. Don't you wonder what memories this ring will bring back in two years? 27
