Kiwanis Internationals Westbury menis organization is called Key Club and works as a service organization. The group sponsored many activities through- out the year: on the light side, a faculty- ffootball varsity basketball game, on the serious side, Christmas food baskets for the needy. There was a frivolous football game with the Bellaire Key Club, and there were useful projects like cleaning cemeteries, teaching cerebral palsey vic- tims to swim, and collecting re-cyclable materials. As a fund raiser the group sold grapefruit on one occasion. They held reg- ular dinner meetings at Wyattis, and in April a banquet with Anchor Club. Along with other clubs, Key Club helped with the National School Board Convention. A Jay Krupa and Dan Ayre. Westburyls math club, an honorary society sponsored by Mrs. Cramer and Mr. Dunkin, is called Mu Alpha Theta. This year was an exceptional one for the group in that in six math contests it took more trophies than ever before. Stanley Shebs personally accounted for much hardware - more than anyone at Westbury ever has. The groupis banquet was held at the Athena Greek Restaurant.
