From those 2,000 delegates Lorrie Mc- Kim, a junior here at Westbury was elected 1975-76 D.E.C.A. State President. She is the first female who has earned this honor in recent years. Another outstanding student is Cindy Ftapp, who not only was Vice-President of D.E.C.A. here at Westbury, but she was also elected to the office of Area Ill Secretary at the State Con- ference held in San Antonio. The 1974-75 members of Distributive Education proved to have an exciting year. They had informal parties, attended conferences, raised money for UNICEF, Thanksgiving tray favors for Texas Children's Hospital, picnic at Bear Creek and had an Employer's Banquet. The Westbury Chapter ot the A Office Education Association was active, as usual, in school and community projects. They visited Golden Age Manor, Texas Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, and other places in the community. Along with these activities, they had a Continental Breakfast for the teachers and custodians and a coffee for their Advisory Committee. Each month VCE placed 16 dozen homemade cookies in teachers' lounges in honor of teachers' birthdays. Their school projects committee cleaned the parking lot and painted a teachers' lounge. To end the year, they had an Avvards Banquet recognizing all vvho have helped VOE. c Y Off' A tvlrs.
