The procedure was so successful that the space administration was soon orbiting the idea of launching other junior high schools in the district. Since that first day, Westbrook has projected nearly 3,000 students in- to the far reaches of the universe. This year 504 Chargers of the space age generation are attending Westbrook. They are being assisted by such retro rockets as the freshman biologi- cal program, Biological Sciences Curriculum Study fBSCSJg, the eighth grade science program, Introductory Physical Science fIPSjg and the pilot English program of the Nebraska Curriculum of Structural Linguistics. Those who have left Westbrook have done well at Westside and other centers of secondary education. In the scholastic field, many of the for- mer Chargers have led their classes on honor rolls, debate teams, and dra- I matic presentations. They not only have the skill and teamwork that makes good athletes but they have the spirit that is so necessary. K- 'N Westbrook will continue in its proud tradition as a launching pad for young people who are prepared to face the future, well qualified and eager to contribute their very best to a rapidly advancing world. 1. 1 ii 1 I li '. ,Pi I!
