OLIVER Superintendent 0 f Schools Graduation time is always an event that brings mixed emotions. It is a joyous occasion because we recognize your accomplishments and your-long-awaited entrance into a new phase of your life. It, also, saddens us because it means that you are departing us and because our relationships will not be as close in the future. We hope that you will always carry with you the precepts that we have taught you. You will be better people by practicing them. Let me at this time wish each of you well and express the hope that you will be successful in your future endeavors. 8 KENNETH R. HIGGS Principal Soon you will be leaving us to continue the preparation for the future on which we have worked together so hard. As you look to the future, do so with the assurance that your school is interested in you and is behind you always. I have only had the pleasure of working with you for a short time, but I have always been pleased by the warmth with which you welcomed me and the en- thusiastic way which you have worked with me on our projects. I have the utmost confidence that your futures will be bright and that you will continue to reflect credit to yourselves, your home, your school and community. My parting words are Thank you for the past and the greatest of success in the future. 9 E 6 Richard Adams Industrial Arty, Power Mechanics, Playlist, Woodworking 9th Grade Advisor Central Connecticut State College B.S,, M.S. I, Gregory Barnett, do hereby leave to Mr. Martino one empty Guidance Ofiice, and to Mark Lynsky and Pete D'Errico one deflated football. I, Sandy Brennan, leave to my sister Sally many happy hours with Mrs. Crump, to Celise an empty reference room, and always the problem of a ride to work. I, Karen Brockway, leave David Antone and Barney to take care of the underclassmen, and three glorious years to my brother David. I, John Clements, leave Mrs. Weston a cold typing room, Mr. Giles the problem of collecting articles, Jim Daly my basketball skill, and Pan Am to any deserving French student. I, Carl Deming, leave the name Dum-Dum to anyone who has the ability to uphold its reputation. I, Dave Doerrer, leave Mr. Higgs someone else to catch with grinders, and leave knowing that I will never return. I, Carol Ehlers, leave Mrs. Downs to share her office burdens and coffee cake with someone else, my baton to Mr. MacMullen, and value of education to my brother. CHint!b I, Sue Fagerstrom, leave behind Westbrook High School to any other Glastonbury student, Mr. Root to his Trig problems, and questions, questions, and more questions. I, Jim Florian, leave Mr. D'Errico with the thought of facing another Florian and all my love to Colleen and Ma. I, Linda Fogle, leave Cathy my ability to get up in the morning and Rachel someone else to complain with. I, Richard Griswold, leave Grunty, Quasi, Grunular, Petunia, etc. behind me forever. I, Chris Guinane, leave Mr. D'Errico someone else to call his Flapper, to Barney my locker 369, to David someone else to bug, to my brother my ability to stay out of trouble, and to Cathy Fogle some- one else to call Hippie. I, Colleen Hall, leave W. I-I. S. with many fond memories, to all my friends a bright and happy future, to Jeanne Spencer to remember the good times we've share, to john Ehlers to find someone else to call Number 11 and to the teachers, my sister. I, Lana Howe, leave Westbrook High School a little quieter for my loud sneezing will no longer echo through its rooms, and best of luck to all future seniors. I, John Hoyt, leave to Mrs. Crump and Mr. Martino Bobby Leone to do whatever they can with him, the art of skipping school to George Antone and Bobby Blouin, and all my little nick names to anyone who wants them Cif anyonej . I, Sherriesjackman, leave Westbrook High School finally and am proud of it. I leave my sister the trouble of having to fight two more years. I, Barbara Leitner, leave magazine drives, chorus, Drama Club and all the other popular activities to anybody with enough time to handle them, and P. A. D. to any future senior who can hack it. I, Robert Luca, leave my Tapeball to Coach Mansfield to give to anyone he feels deserving of it. I, David MacDonald, leave nothing. I, Brian May, leave a pair of smelly soccer socks to Mr. Root, and charm to T.H. I, Ned McGoldrick, leave all my fun and frustrations to the underclassmen, five more years to my little sister, and my car to anyone dumb enough to take it. I, Bill McIntyre, leave my brother Bob the name number one and Debbie Kriegel a solemn remem- berance of me. I, Rebecca Meyer, leave my sister Rachel my love of sports, Ron Cashman to walk the halls in solitude, and someone else to worry about The Knight? Mail. I, Don Otrin, leave W. H. S. to make their own school repairs, to Mr. Martino to find someone else to buy lifesavers for him, and to Mr. Adams to find another person to help in shop. I, Dave Perkins, leave the names Perk and Flower to Mr. Root, and the 57th floor to Pan Am. I, Mark Platter, leave anybody to take my place in the Music Room playing Mr. MacMullen's piano, and to keep Mrs. Weston in excuses. I, Peter Ray, leave knowing that I will never return to have to listen to a teacher again. I, Sharon Schmid, leave Mr. D'Errico someone else to call Hot Rod, Barney and Ginny and David their kindness for listening, my sister Kathy, the excitement of trouble, someone else to bring grinders to lunch, and those silent studies. I, Rupert Schulte, leave my place in the A-V room for anyone else stupid enough to take it. I, Jiffy Spencer, leave Mrs. Lowrey to find someone else to water her flowers, Miss P. to find a halfback, and the best of luck to Jeanne, Sandy, and Cliffy. I, Bud Thorpe, leave to join John Schwartz on an exhausting journey in the hope that one day we will find our sixth happiness. I, Linda Trippconey, leave Westbrook High School to my brother joe, and wish him the best of luck, to the teachers and future seniors the happiness I have found. I, Debby Wade, leave to Mr, MacMullen my sister Sherry to help him with his filing, and my brother Ben successful years at W.H.S. I, Steve Wernicke, leave - unregrettably. I, Richard Willis, leave Mr. Higgs and his fellow colleagues someone else to bug, and Miss Czarnecki a peaceful art class and a pinch of Haig. I, Joe Wysowski, leave Mr. Root finally, and an empty parking space to anyone. I, Bruce Zubbee, leave to Westbrook High School the fond memory of my glowing personality, brain-power, etc.. and to Miss O'Meara the special memory of my great acting ability.
