Originally located on Main Street, built in 1850 and transferred to Valentine Street in 1886. Westbrook High School is usually considered to have begun in 1873 when the town voted to establish two high schools; one on the second floor of the old Main Street Grammar School, and the other at the Pride's Corner School.
