TO THE CLASS OF 1964 -A MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT BLEWETT I am a part of all that I have metj' said Tennyson's Ulysses as he neared the end of his years of fvoyaging. All the people, all the places, the sights, the sounds, the smells, the beauty, the ugliness, the successes, the disappointments, the delights, the agonies, all had com- bined in Ulysses to make Ulysses. He acknowledged himself to be the product of his hard, stirring, bruising, 'wholly pragmatic experience. As you near the end o f the portion of your experience gained at Westbrooh, each of you can claim to be a part of all that you have met, but yours has been a gentler passage, a safer journey through the rocks and shoals, for you have been lofuingly guided by those 'who have passed this 'way before. We hope that as the years pass you 'will count every bit of your guided experience here as a blessing. We earnestly hope that it 'will lead to increasing happiness for you and for those for 'whom you -will, in turn, profoide guided experience. I f it does, we will have been successful-and only then. May God bless you all. X I' , girl, S fs ' Afx -fgx, - ar g' X ,Y , I f I-,ff Az: ,f 1 ff I ' 1 I X 'l'l

A-3: 'Z' - is , w ' ,................J 'nik 11.233 The Class of 1964 is aware of all that our President and a dynamic Board of Trustees have accomplished in expanding the campus facilities. We, too, are proud of over a million dollars worth of buildings which have gone up in the past six years, but, equally important, we feel, is the concern for the intellectual and social development of the students which both President and Mrs. Blewett have expressed. For your thoughtfulness and for your unlimited interest, President and Mrs. Blewett, we, the Class of 1964, say thank you.

At the opening of College, a change occurred in the oiiice of the Dean of Residence when Miss Joyce K. Bibber assumed the duties of our former Dean, Miss Margaret L. Giroux. Miss Giroux, who is presently serving as an instructor in the Retailing Curriculum, will always be re- membered as one of our Hrst and most helpful friends. In September, we welcomed the start of our Senior year and our new Dean. Dean Bibber has done much through the year to win the trust, confidence and faith of Westbrook by her wide and deep interest in the stu- dents, an interest amply dem- onstrated by her untiring work with varied campus organiza- tions. 12 If he is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind. Dean Bond, a friend as well as a respected leader, is well known to every member of the Westbrook family. He is found in his office, on the green, or in the caf eagerly listening to prob- lems and very willingly giving advice. Always working in full understanding and with the complete cooperation of the student body, our Dean is the admired personiiication of an administrative leader.
