On Tuesday evening of each week, the Dance Club held its workshop under the direction of Miss Gilmore and leadership of President, Janice Fahey, and Secre- tary-Treasurer, Joan Couillard. V As a branch of the VVomen's Athletic Association, they participated in Christmas Convocation and May Weekend. Like last year, they attended a university workshop led by a professional instruc- tor and, as we have seen, exhibit the skills and art of interpretive dancing gained by instruction and hard Work. The WVomen's Athletic Association is the largest club represented by the student body at WVestbrook Junior College. One of the Association's main objectives is to earn enough money to oi-fer a sub- stantial scholarship to a Worthy student who has contributed a great deal of time, interest, and enthusiasm to VV.A.A. The organization sponsors inter-house softball, basketball, volleyball, and bad- minton tournaments to develop sportsmanship and school spirit. Highlighting the year's social activities is Winter Carnival with the crowning of the queen, a jazz concert, formal dance, and presentation of an award to the dorm with the best snow sculpture. W.A.A. was led this year by Linda Darling, President, Linda Whitney, Vice- Presidentg Gretchen Rosendahl, Secretary, and Clare Evers, Treasurer. Miss Gilmore is the club advisor. sg, my 1 was X K 351 Q First row: I. Dingwell, G. Rosendahl, L. Darling, C. Evers. Second row: B. Williamson S. Wells , '. I. Saywarcl, N. Bowden, D.
