Within its eight issues, the W.I.C. News highlighted off and on campus activities with feature articles and student and faculty interviews. In the Woman of the Month articles, revealing a special senior personality who has displayed respon- sibility and leadership on campus, in the editorials, letters to the editor, and various other columns, the paper provided interest and stimulus for its readers and exhibited a professional touch which only hard work and concern can achieve. Under the direction of Miss Greta Kerr, Margaret P. Snow, Editor-in-Chief, Helen Bibby, Co-Editor, jane Hallowell and Charlene Morris, Feature Editors, Madeline Frustaci, News Editor, Lu Jenson, Sports Editor, Patricia Hunter, Advertising Manager, Marilyn Lalumiere, Circulation Manager, and Rosemarie Rowell, Photographer, the W.J.C. Student 7 Q 1 fi Council Areas of interest and responsible concem for Westbrook were shown by the Student Council this year in sponsoring Parents' Weekend, Student-Faculty nights, and the Christmas party for underprivileged children. The Student Council is a fine example of democracy in action. With advice from Dean Bond and Dean Giroux, guidance from its officers, Diane Hinkley, Presi- dent, Lu Jenson, Vice-President, and Marsha Ayres, Secretary, and action from its members, it fulHlls its main purpose in listening to the voice of the students at Westbrook and upholding the traditional values of the Westbrook Way.
