Under the guidance of their advisor, Miss Gretta Kerr, the co-editors, Sue Robinson, Miriam Leighton and Judy Brown, the feature editor, Brenda Pearson, the news editor, Judy Keppel, and the advertising manager, Martha Galbraith have worked to make this an outstanding year for the W. The club's purpose is to broaden the academic scope of retailing majors and to provide interesting topics for any student who desires to learn more of this broad and fascinating field. Miss Constance Curry is the clul::'s ingenious advisor and their new ofilicers this year are Claire Bellegarde, president, Judith Hill, vice-president, Mary Ann Barretta, secretary-treasurer, and Judy Brown, social chairman. The club sponsors many activities among which is the annual fashion show put on in cooperation with J. E. Palmer. One of the outstanding speakers was Mrs. Mazurne from the Maine School of Charm. The vocal group of Westbrook Junior College was organized in 1957 for the purpose of providing musical entertainment for Westbrook and other groups outside the campus. They called themselves the Faux Pas, and since that time they have grown increasingly in popularity. The Faux Pas are under the direction of Mr. Richard Roberts who arranges their music and schedules their appearances. They have been kept very busy this year singing for the Retailers' Fashion Show, the Christmas Formal, Parents' Weekend, Winter Carnival, May Weekend, and many ot? campus performances for the Woodford's Club, the Portland Club, and the Longfellow P.
