There are very Few people that we meet during the course of our lives whose advice and reassurance are able to lead us in the proper direction and show us the way to achieve our goals. From this small number there are 'few people whose warm person- ality and sincere interest in our futures can give' us the courage to strive toward self-betterment and success. Among these outstanding people there is one who is the symbol of the qualities which we all admire and seek to attain: honesty, gener- osity, congeniality, kindness, and unending devotion. I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being - let me do it now. Let me not deter, nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. - Author Unknown You may ask what is the Westbrook Spirit? Yet it cannot be expressed by a word or group of words. lt is the mark that comes from spontaneous kindness which can only be shown through true devo- tion. It is an idea of giving help to others with no thought of self reward. lt is an action which is never ending in personal satisfaction and grateful appreciaton. It is Rupert J. Westcott, our beloved Rupe, who will be fondly ,remembered for being the symbol of the undying spirit of Westbrook and the friendliness that prevails. 5
