INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS CLUB This year the IRC was active on campus with informal discussions in which both faculty and students participated helped to enlighten and to create a better under- standing of the international conflicts. .The IRC sponsored a United Nations Day at which time faculty and students who had had the privilege of visiting or living in other countries throughout the world gave their impressions of how other people of the world live. A number of students participated in a discussion on the topic, Should we use the Atomic Bomb in Korea? Members of the faculty composed a panel, each giving their ideas of the use of the bomb. Later, the discussion was turned over to the students for their respective opinions. Miss Dunn gave an interesting talk on her experiences while hitch-hiking through seven countries in Europe. Miss Toussaint also gave us an idea of what living in France would be like, if any of us were ever fortunate to have the privilege of visiting there. Judith Westaway attended an International Relations Conference at the University of Montreal. Two representatives of the United Council on World Affairs, V. W. Jao of Formosa and Theodore Maclamba of the Phillipines, were guest speakers at a college forum. Members of the club comprised a discussion panel for the forum. The club was under the direction of Sylvia Kuraner, presidentg Patricia Currier, vice- presiclent and secretaryg and Barbara Meade, treasurer. Miss Pattee was the faculty advisor.
