Stars on 45 ' s What could be more fun and enter- taining than a live combination of a lot of Star Search material and a little bit of the Gong Show ? Well, the answer is nothing, especially when it is hosted by the Class of 1987. The evening of March 20, 1986 launched this great and traditional undertaking known as the Junior Tal- ent Show with the help of the three Masters of Ceremony: Sean Linnane, Bruce Ledoux and Chris Gorak. These part-time comedians (and ex- cellent ad-libbers ) added a touch of humor and fun to the show between acts. Included among their most pop- ular material were the antics of Sears Driving School and their accom- ished students and an imperson- ation by Sean Linnane of the lovable but elusive, all-around good-sport, custodian, Fred. During the course of the show, some of the junior girls found the junior guys to be elusive also, which they ex- pressed in their rendition of Where ' d the Junior Guys Go? Several of the junior guys were eventually found, however, a little later on stage doing a diaper dance to You Shook Me All Night Long and were joined by the girls at the end (who were somewhat more fashionably clothed). On the more serious side, Johnny, Fish and the Flamingos swept the vo- cal band category with an outstand- ing performance of Come Sail Away sung by Brian Karski, who added an interesting flair to the act by starting out in the audience and working his way up to the stage. Joanna Tracy and John Pehl did justice to two Jim Croce songs which they performed like ex- perts, thereby winning the vocal cate- gory. In the dancing category, Penny Smith swung and swayed to The Conga in keeping with tradition. She shared her victory with Lauren Glick- man, Chris Barlow and Stephanie Travers in their spunky routine to the classic hit Leader of the Pack . Also included was Pete Ralph who did a great job of keeping the motorcycle seat warm and looking cool.

Scott Messier, Pam Harding, Nick Lever- ne, and Amy Blanchard huddle for a snap- shot. Title Track Junior year is a big year for all high school students. Many things happen that year: SAT ' s, license, talent show, and that mythical highlight, THE PROM. Preparations for such a ceremo- nious occasion take a great deal of style and tact. Who to ask, and what to wear? After much indecision (and many surprising combinations), dates are found, garments are chosen, res- ervations are made, and the excite- ment builds. Limos, Caddys, sports cars, and Dad ' s old Chevy rolled in on May 17, 1986 to embark on this jubilant oc- casion. The court was picked, dubbing Heather Cromwell and Matt Day the Royal Couple, forever yours Faith- fully. Festivities were then moved to the open plains under the starry sky where a warm fire kept us going. The early dawn guided us through hours of traffic on our way to Hampton Beach. The unseasonably hot sun beat down on our tired, and now painfully burned bodies and made us all the more unprepared for school on Mon- day. Sean Linnane and Linda Richards take a breather. The Court: (Front row) Dawn Briggs, Richelle Olterman. (Back row) Kirsten For- rest, Tracy LaBrecq ue. Heather Cromwell, Matt Day, Jean Pierson, Lisa LaMarche. 11
