Festivities On May 28, 1983 the Class of 1984 held its Junior Prom. The theme song was You and I Performed by Mas- quirade. The highlight of the evening was the selection of the queen and her court. (Top right, opposite page) Car- men D ' Arcangelo, accompanied by Jim Thompson, was selected queen by the members of the band. Her court was composed of Kim Masters and Keith Fasold, Beth Braman and Ken- ny Kwiat, Terri Pierson and Dean Adams, Julie Steere and Mark Tep- per, Kerri Cahill and Scott O ' Con- nor, and Jane Dalton and Andy Ar- nold. As the night wore on, it was neces- sary for some prom-goers to take a rest. At the lower right Kristin McLaughlin and Scotty Scott take a breather, while others were still danc- ing the night away. Getting down at the far right are Julie Steere and Mark Tepper. Around 11:15 couples filtered out to go their separate ways seeing there was no class party. Some people went to Pam Bentley ' s, some to Billy Mar- tin ' s, and some even went to Harry ' s Diner. But everyone will look back on the fond memories of the evening. 4 f iJ

Yearbook Staff After selecting the yearbook staff in April, 1983, the challenge of find- ing a theme arose. We decided a fair- ytale was a fresh idea. So to promote unity on the staff, we took a trip to Newport, R. I. last May. Instead of bringing us closer, we drifted further apart. In the midst of the confusion, our theme changed from a fairy tale to a magazine format. Mr. Kaplan is still waiting for us to change our minds again. We feel this format is appropriate today because of the great impact the media has on our lives. Instead of being just a photo album, we hope it will give a realistic account of the 1983-1 984 school year. We ' d like to thank all the people who worked on the yearbook this year. We give special thanks to Sue Torres, our business editor, who sold all the ads ahead of schedule, Mark Langston and Kelly Sieger, photography edi- tors, who supplied us with enough pic- tures to make the book work, and Kathi Matuzek and Maureen Hens- ley, art editors, for helping us meet the deadlines. Without the help of Mr. Kaplan, this book wouldn ' t have come together. (Thanx Bob!) Your editors, Sue and John
