As one travels up the various trails of Westborough High, the styles of clothing alter. The preppies are back (as shown by Lisa Puopolo and Pam Carlson, lower right) with their oxford shirts and pleated skirts. Leather jackets can still be seen through the trees. More visible, how- ever, is the newest wave of fashion including miniskirts (Ann Gallo and Peggy Hall, lower left), legwarmers, and extremely short-sleeve shirts (Randy Johnson, left center). It is not unusual to see purple hair or metallic fingernails flash by. Baggie pants (or VERY baggie pants, as worn by Mary Beth Foote, right center) are also the style of this year. The more short-lived fashions in- clude togas (Senior Class, side), PJ ' s (Lester Horn, far left), and holiday dress-ups.

The greatest need that one can have during the school day is a warm and friendly smile, letting you know that someone cares. The ability to emanate this special thoughtfulness is both admired and uncommon. We have found this exceptional quality in Mr. Robert Todd — better know as Scottie. Therefore, we, the class of 1983, thankfully dedicate Upward Bound to Scottie, whose consider- ation for our class will be remem- bered always. 5
