When we ponder on all those we have known, a few stand out in the crowd because they left a larger imprint on our lives. Some of these people are exceptional to us because of one characteristic or ability that is long remembered. The most treasured is the person who has many such qualities, being concerned, talented, and humorous. With this thought in mind, we would like to dedicate our 1976 Yearbook to Mr. Anthony Markvenas, a man whose concern with people is clearly evident to all those around him. Mr. Anthony Markvenas 5 vW have the freedom ' to ' mql own lives. Pearl S. Buck Dr. Edward Kelleher, Superintendent Administration School Committee Mr Lowe, Dr. Malone, Mrs. Smith, Mr. Farrow, Mr. Becker 10 TO THE CLASS OF 1976 May your paths be smooth and challenging with opportunities abounding and may the Lord always protect you from excesses, temptations and harm. R. W. Kirby — Assistant Principal To The Members Of the Class of 1976: Each year as we receive our Yearbook we pause to reflect on how quickly the four years that we have known the Graduating Class have passed. This year certainly is no different. The Spirit of ' 76 will long be remembered as just that — a Class with tremendous pride, enthu siasm and Spirit! We remember your Booster Day victory in ' 73 and your near miss in ' 75. We remember your tremendous effort for Spirit Week in ' 76 and your victories in both ' 74 and ' 75 — and how appropriate these were for the Spirip of ' 76! The Spirit of ' 76 has made its school a better one by its hard work and example. The re- vitalized school Spirit we have observed during the past four years can be attributed, to a great extent, to the Spirit of ' 76; for this we are truly indebted. We can only hope that your en- thusiasm and Spirit will always remain with each of you in the endeavors which lie ahead. Good luck, good Spirit, and Goodbye. J. It is even a vapor, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. The 1976 Freedom recounts many happy occasions and brings back many fond memories. Unfortunately, there were sad moments, also. We cannot forget the death of Susan Donovan a few months after the start of our Sophomore year. Susan enjoyed life to the fullest. Though quiet, she shared many happy times with her family and friends. Most outstanding was Susan ' s ability to share each moment of her life, with friendship. Susan ' s courage and friendship affected each individual who knew her, and for them Graduation will be a bit less happy. Let us remember, however, that Susan will continue to be in our hearts, minds, and The Class of 1976 , as we inspire others to reach fulfillment and to share our appreciation of Life. 70 71 Jaime Arcila Our Colombian A.F.S ' er oM thvl 1 VUL. tjUtM XLAA UML+ Ado 1 OUR THANKS TO: The Class of 1976 would like to extend its appreciation to Mr. Stephen Ottoson, for his patience and help during these past years.
