During the school year Carlos lived with one of our classmates, Bill Porter. We ' re certain that Carlos will return to Peru full of pleasant memories of his stay in the United States. The class of 1965 wishes Carlos the best of luck in the future. James Eddy, a member of our class, spent the summer as an exchange student in Germany. This year two of our seniors, Paul Ruchinskas and Peter Landsdowne, received letters of commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. The Senior Paper Drive on October 12 was a tremendous class effort. We earned a lot of money and everyone had a great time. On October 16, the Senior Dance, Bewitched, was held in the cafeteria. Everyone who attended enjoyed the original but wild decorations and especially the fabulous music by Don Carlson ' s Orchestra. One of the greatest successes of the year was the Senior Play, Our Hearts Were Young and Gay, presented in the WHS auditorium on December 11. We never realized what superb actors and actresses our class had until this performance. The cast did a wonderful job under the able direction of Mrs. Edward Erickson. We wish to congratulate Westboro High ' s representatives to Boys ' and Girls ' State. They were Robert White, Paul Ruchinskas, and Christine Nelpi. We also wish to extend our con- gratulations to Charlotte Stone who was chosen as the DAR Good Citizen and to Linwood Stock- well who was chosen to represent WHS at the State House on Good Government Day. This year four seniors received football awards. Jerry Phillips received the Richard L. Little Award. Jerry did an outstanding job for someone who had never played football before this year. At the annual football banquet, Paul Ruchinskas received the award for all-round player, Robert White for the outstanding lineman, and John Greska for the outstanding back. One of the most original and entertaining nights this year was the Varsity-Faculty basket- ball game, March 5. The varsity, who appeared in crazy costumes before the game, was cheered on by the most adorable (?) cheerleaders: John Farquhar, Bob Bilodeau, Steve Tufts, Alan Ware, Chip S toe kw ell, Doug Edwards, Danny Cusson, and Peter Batcheller. The faculty team, consisting of the various athletic coaches and instructors, also had a special group cheering them: Mrs. Harvey, Mrs. Sibley, Miss Spinney, Mrs. Shelton, Mrs. Fay, Miss Zwergle, Miss Robertson, Miss Beinema, and Miss LaMonda. Although the faculty put up a good fight, the varsity came through with a decisive 59 to 49 win. In closing, we, the Yearbook Staff, feel that our vearbook would not be complete without expressing our appreciation to Miss Conroy for all the work and advice she has contributed not only on the yearbook, but also as the Senior Class advisor. 39 Senior Most Artistic Girl BETH ANDERSON Boy With Best Personality DANIEL CUSSON Wittiest Girl REBECCA BREED LOVE Boy Most Likely To Succeed PAUL RUCH1NSKAS Best Dressed Girl PAMELA HARDY Most Popular Boy LINWOOD STOCKWELL Friendliest Girl ELIZABETH BARROWS Class Wolf DAVID MARRANDETTE Typical Senior Girl NANCY NEWELL 40 Handsomest Boy CARLOS HERRERA Most Athletic Girl GAYLE BEN WARE O auorifes Friendliest Boy Most Popular Girl Best Dressed Boy ROBERT BILODEAU CHARLOTTE STONE BRUCE AVERY Most Athletic Boy Prettiest Girl Typical Senior Boy Class Flirt JOHN GRESKA LYNNE REIMAN 41 JAMES EDDY PATRICIA STOREY PRESIDENT: Frank DeSiata VICE PRESIDENT: Doris Chase SECRETARY: Nancy Curtis TREASURER: Kenneth Grip 42 PRESIDENT: Mark St. Pierre VICE PRESIDENT: Carol Reiman SECRETARY: Linda Witkowski TREASURER: Ronald Allen 43 PRESIDENT: Francis O ' Connell VICE PRESIDENT: Laurie Harpin SECRETARY: Donna Turner TREASURER: John Pardee 44 CANDIDS ORGANIZATIONS S uc en Go uncif FIRST ROW: Janice Porter, Carol Flynn, Susan Tolman.
