Now we were in the final stretch of our grammar school days. ln the eighth grade all wins, no losses. Added to our class roll were William Wilson and Donald Powers. This ends the first installment of the life of the 1955 Senior Class. Next we shall re- live the thrilling moments of our high school years. Our high school days are over and gone: let us look backward to the days of Freshmen dawn, T'was the night of graduation, The 19 Seniors in cap and gown waited with feelings of elation. The diplomas all lay in a neat little row, And the minutes till getting them seemed to drag slow. The parents and friends listened to the speaker, But try as I would the words kept getting weaker. Twenty green Freshmen glad to be alive. Jim Barlow, J. D. Clinkingbeard, Elaine Edwards, Louise Hall, Phil Hogue, Butch Mather, Peggy Osborn, Jerry Moses, Jean Hampton, Donnie Powers to name a few. Inabeth Rolf, James C. Smith, Joe Sparks, Larry Swartz, Gary Teague, Buddy Wilson, Colleen Winstead, Anita Harness, Luella Martin, and Pat Henning were there, too. At the end of the year when we took count, We found that Peggy, Jean, Donnie, Buddy, and Anita had lessened the amount. Joyce Clement came in our Sophomore year, One more to add to our class so dear. Our Junior year Westboro was lucky, but Blanchard was not. Anita returned and increased our lot. Now as Seniors we again take roll call, Dayle Murdock, Trigger Nuckolls came this fall. Now one by one they call us by name, And wish each one good luck and fame. But best of all he places in each hand, A slip of paper we all think is grand, And as the recessional rings out loud and clear, We say good -bye to our high school days dear. We wish we could say to each one what is due, So we'1l do our best and say a big Thank You. BUTCH Thus ends our story up to the present. What. the future has in store for us we do not know, but judging from the pa st, we believe there are possibilities for a successful future.
