The Department of Public Instruction honored WYHS in selecting West York High School to be one of the three schools to find a school who would exchange a teacher and four students dur- ing Pennsylvania Week: October 13-19, 1952. Seamen Connie Flohr, Henry VVildasin, Larry Spence, and David Coodling and Chief Petty Officer Anna L. Orner exchanged positions with Mr. Lawrence Imboden and four Schuylkill Haven students. As the experiment proved most successful, additional schools will participate next year. True democracy functioned in the Student Council's straw election for a President of the United States in Novemberg and the Council's Christmas Ball added a gay note to the social activties of our ship-WYHS.
