For us, the Class of 1956, the years at West Winfield High have come and gone. And so, in these pages of The Maotheon, we have tried to save from the remorseless grasp of Time these scenes that are so precious to us. When deciding on a title for our yearbook, we chose HTHE MAOTHEONM because we were able to blend into one word fragments from the names of the counties in our school district. RYNDAK Miss Ryndak has been both advisor and teacher for our class. Through our high school years we have constantly re- lied on her helpfulness, her fairness, and her ability to draw from each student his best work. She has taught us not only English and social studies, but has also made of each of us better citizens. We shall long remember the thoughtfulness she has shown the class of 1956. Seated: ,l. STEEVES Supervising Principal It has been a pleasure for the Faculty and the Administration to have had the opportunity of working with the Class of 1956. There is no greater reward in working with young people than to see them successfully complete their high school education. I hope we have given you, not only the text book knowledge, but also the attitudes, personality, and determination that are needed to be successful in the world today. Above all, I hope we have given you an awareness that human relationsi' are im- portant and that you will always treat your fellow citizens with kindness and consideration. On behalf of the Administration and Faculty, may I extend our best wishes for your future. J EARL DUNN, Elementary Advisor LUCY WING.
