CLASS PROPHECY We, the Seniors of '54, gather around the council fire of the village for one last pow-wow before de- parting unto our respective tribes. Attention is cen- tered on the Medicine Man, who has promised to give us a glimpse of what lies before us on the great road of life. The wizened old man sits in meditation for some time, gazing'into the flames. A wolf howls in the distance and an eerie silence falls over the gathering as he finally begins to speak: I see several of your classmates representing the United States in the Olympics of 1964. CATHY LONCHEK is coaching the Girls' Soccer Team, and defeating Russia's heavyweight boxing champ is BRUISER MURDOCK. STEWART JONES is break- ing the 880 yard track record and PAUL LEWIS is a standout on the championship football team. JAN Mc- CALL, the nurse, is showing out KEITH ARM- STRONG, a stock broker, on his weekly visit. Our shadows make grotesque figures in the fire- light and we move closer as the medicine man goes on to say: DONNA LEE CARD, space ship pilot, is making her first trip to the moon with an all male crew. HOTROD MATTHEWS is setting a new speed record at Indianapolis in a jet-propelled Rocket Racer designed by BOB EVANS and MY RON HIBBARD. Monopolizing the New York State Dairyman's League as large producers are JOHN GALA, BILL NAYLOR and JACK YOUNG. Then, DOT ROONEY heads the Industrial Arts Depart- ment of the Central School. I see ELEANORE LOVE accepting an Oscar for her role in the movie Junior Miss. Milton Berle's new discoveries in the entertainment field, are AUSTIN BOUCK and CHARLES HYDE. Far away in Arizona, EVELYN HUNTLEY, a veterinarian, has founded a hospital called Huntley's Horse Haven. BASEBALL TEAM The baseball team of 1954 will play a schedule of eight or ten games. This schedule will include Richfield Springs, Cherry Valley, Springfield, Bridgewater and Van Hotnes- ville. There will also be scrimmages, possibly with Edmeston and Sauquoit. This year's team will have many new faces since five players who were great assets to the team of '55 will not play this year. Two have graduated, one has moved out of the school district, one will not play for reasons of health, and one other will be too old. Expected to fill some of these spots will be boys fresh from the Junior High baseball club. These boys are Freshmen and Sophomores this year. Holdovers from last year's team are: infielders, D. Matthews, J. Kilty, K. Armstrong, Seniors, and T. Dugan, and R. Sanzo, Juniors, outfielders, P. LeoGrande, G. Richards, Juniors, and J. Marks and F. Tauss, Sophomoresg pitchers, P. Hammond, J.
