A1 lUU Elasses Schools of 1850-1875 were very inapt, compared with schools of today. A person who wished a little variety was at a loss the teachers instructed the smart peopleg and along with them the stu dents who couldn't learn as fast. These slower students were shown by methods uncomplimentary to education of this time. 5 '- -S Improvements have been slow in coming in the era between 1875-1900. Education was practically at a stand still. The student ax didnft always have facilities like ones we have today. The students this era were given regimented courses, which failed to meet indi- vidual needs. Ahhh. in x55 During the war period 1900-1925 the high schools increased in numbers. People began taking subjects, that were suited to them Schools were set up for the people who worked with their hands more than with books. Jwtlovs Schools began enlarging 1925-1951 and they emphasized teaching for the future. The class of 1951 is the 100th class to graduate from :QQ West Winheld's school system. We appreciate the fact that such 3' achievements have been made to better the educational facilities of our school by the new addition and by the varied courses in our schedule. .ui-
