The Council discusses campus problems . . . supervises campus activities and projects . . . initiates enactments for the Student Legislature . . . Analyzes existing programs . . . serves as the advisory board to the Student Body Presi- dent. Reorganized in 1952 to establish a government of three separate depart- ments — Student Executive Council. Student Legislature and Student Court. The Spring Student Government election of 1955 witnessed the traditional struggle for power between the Independent Party and the Student Party . . .
