GAINER Faculty Adviser THE YEARBOOK OF WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY THE 19 5 5 To the majority of students at West Virginia University the MONTICOLA is something once hoped for which has become a reality. It records the highlights of the year in picture and word. But to the students who work toward editing and financing the annual, it means much more. It means working when everyone else is playing, and crawling out of bed early Saturday morning when everyone else is sleeping. On the other hand, it also means having fun even when tired, and making freinds who will never be forgotten. Because this year ' s staff was no exception to these facts our sincere thanks go to Kay Rice who handled much more than any Organization Editor should be expected to handle; Yvonne Gump and Ed Galligan who were our iacks-of-all-trades and alway; seemed to do the impossible; Bill Naylor who spent many hours looking at the student body through a camera; and Sharon An- drews and Pat Barthlow for compiling our student directory. On the business end. Bill Green broke all yearbook advertising record; along with his assistants. Bob Shatzer and Chuck Sturm. Our thanks go also to the other staff members without whose help the book would never have reached the printer; to Ralph Langreck of the Benson Printing Company whose help and advice were endless; to Dr. Patrick Gainer, faculty advisor; and to Mr. Glenn Bengston and Mr. John Luchock of the University Printing Service.
