The local chapter, Lambda, was established in 1923. Phi U has for its purposes the strengthening of the bonds of friendship; the promoting of the moral and intellectual development of its members; the advancing and promot- ing of home economics. ORGANIZATIONS v y he Agricultural Club sponsors departmental organizations such as the Mountaineer Poultry Club and the Mountaineer Collegiate Chapter of Future Farmers of America. The zenith of the club ' s activities is the Ag Costume Dance, which is looked forward to by all uni- versity students. Speakers give the members direct application of their maior subiect, with the advantages and disadvantages of each. The serving and entertaining of guests during Farm and hlome Week is the largest project of the club. One of the objects of the organization Is to send a delegate to the national convention each year with this delegate re- porting the convention proceedings to the club the next fall.
