THIS PAGE IS FOR THE EDITOR OF THE YEARBOOK, SO THAT SHE CAN EXPRESS HER FEELINGS ABOUT THE BOOK. I WILL NOW TRY TO EXPLAIN WHAT WAS INVOLVED IN BRINGING MEDICUS TO PRINT. TWO YEARS AGO SOME PEOPLE DECIDED TO PRODUCE A YEARBOOK FOR THE SCHOOL. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DO IT, AND FINALLY, IT WAS ALL 'DUMPED' ON THREE PEOPLE, DAVE HARRISON, RANDY HUFF, AND MYSELF. DAVE WAS OUR PHOTOGRAPHERg RANDY WAS OUR BUSINESS MANAGER: AND I WAS THE EDITOR, WHO PLANNED AND PRODUCED THE BOOK. WORK WAS DELAYED ON MEDICUS DUE TO A LACK OF FUNDS. IN FEBRUARY, ENOUGH MONEY WAS SECURED, SO I BEGAN PRODUCTION OF MEDICUS. AT THIS TIME FEE HOY IOINED THE STAFF AS MY ASSISTANT. I TAUGHT HER THE BASICS OF LAYING-OUT A YEARBOOK. MY AT- TIC, THAT WAS FURNISHED WITH AN OLD CARD TABLE, DESK, AND PORTABLE TYPEWRITER, BE- CAME OUR YEARBOOK HEADQUARTERS. SOMEHOW, MEDICUS EVOLVED! ALTHOUGH THIS IS NOT THE BEST YEARBOOK EVER PUBLISHED, WE DID THE BEST WE COULD UNDER THE PRESSURES AND CONDITIONS WE ENCOUNTERED. THE AMOUNT OF WORK IN- VOLVED TO PRODUCE A YEARBOOK CAN ONLY BE APPRECIATED BY THOSE WHO HAVE PRE- VIOUSLY ATTEMPTED SUCH A TASK. THEREFORE, PLEASE KEEP YOUR COMPLAINTS AND CRITI- CISM TO YOURSELF. YOUR EFFORTS WOULD HAVE BEEN APPRECIATED HAD THEY BEEN DIRECT- ED TOWARD THE PRODUCTION OF THE BOOK. I WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS MY SINCERE THANKS TO THE PATRONS OF MEDICUS. WITHOUT THEIR SUPPORT THE BOOK WOULD NOT HAVE EVOLVED. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANKS TO ALAN BRIGGS AND ELEANOR TOMASULO FOR TAKING AND DEVELOPING IOVER LONG PERIODS OF TIMEI MOST OF THE PICTURES WE USED IN THE BOOK. MANY CANDID SHOTS LOANED TO US BY STUDENTS, WERE APPRECIATED BY THE YEARBOOK STAFF AND WILL BRING BACK PLEA- SANT MEMORIES OF FOUR YEARS SPEND AT W.V.S.O.M. RECOGNITION SHOULD BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO ATTEMPTED MEDICUS. BUT FAILED! SPECIAL THANKS TO MY HUSBAND, WHO LOST HIS STUDY AREA, AND MY SON, WHO PUT UP WITH A FRUSTRATED MOM.
