Sue Ramsey illustrates in this picture the techniques and skills obtained in art class. One of the many things they have done this year is to furnish posters for our activities. In addition to the many fundamental courses offered at West Vigo, there are various elective subjects which help create the well-rounded student. The students not only have the op¬ portunity to learn academic subjects, but they may enroll in classes which accentuate their individual abilities . Such classes include: art, chorus, journalism, and the sciences. Many of the students who are interested in these courses and take advantage of them go on to base their careers on them after graduation. Even if you take part in one of these classes simply because you enjoy that par¬ ticular subject, it will still be of great value to you in the years ahead. Among these are: Audio- Visual, Distributive Education Classes of America, Mechanical Drawing, Special Home Economics Classes, and many others. These courses are all under the direction of highly qualified faculty members. Mr. Hilton points out to an interested shop student the fundamentals of operating this machine.
