Vigo County, Indiana, citizens voted November 8, 1960, to combine all school corporations into one group to be called the Vigo County School Corporation. The union became effective January 1, 1961. Judge Herbert R. Criss of the Circuit Court was named to appoint seven members for the re-organization board, three members from the city of Terre Haute and four from the county districts. Members of the Reorganization Board and three assistants as they appeared at their first meeting in January are, from left to right, James F. Conover, Deputy Superintendent of Schools; Virgil Morris, Treasurer; Austin F. Manhart, Raymond Beshaw , Max Gabbert, Acting Superintendent of Schools; Dr. Paul Humphrey, President; Ray H. Hahn, A.
