ditor's essa e Many people do not realize how much work there is to putting out a yearbook. The first WI- MOAll was no exception. The staff has put in long hours of hard work to make it a success. At the be- ginning of the year, most of us did not know any of the fundamentals of such a publication. We worked hard and now our hope is that you will enjoy the book. The theme of the WIMOAll is The Building of a Ship, by Longfellow. We think the building of the ship, as portrayed in this poem, is symbolic of how West Valley was built, from the construction of its buildings to the organization of its clubs, and how our lives and characters were developed this past school year. To Miss Christensen, without whose willing guidance and help we would have been lost, to Nancy Manning, cover designer and artist of the division pages, and to the staff go my sincere thanks. It is my hope that this book will serve as a record of one of your school years that you most enjoyed and in which you played a part in creat- ing the early history of a promising, wonderful, new school. Sincerely, . . 0 Worth Master
