WV Enjoys A Happening Red, white and blue flowers, shimmering sheets of tin foil and psychedelic posters set the mood for a 'LHappening,,' presented by the Art Club, onjanuary 17, 1970. The dress was mod, casual and zany to fit the occasion. The music was provided by the Spoon Rivern. Chocolate covered grasshoppers, ants, bees, and caterpillars were imported for hardy appetites, QUpper Rightj An Oriental touch was supplied by the refreshment corner with low tables at which couples sat on the floor, CCentcr Leftj Doni Schimizu sang while accompanying herself on the guitar during intermission. CCenter Rightj Couples danced to the Spoon River , a progressive rock group from Ferris, CLower Leftj Art students prepared an exhibit of projects which couples enjoyed during the dance. CLower Rightj A red, white and blue bathtub adorned with identically colored flowers provided the picture background for Vicky Chaney and Scott Wallace.

'fln A Garden Of Love was selected as the theme for thejunior Prom on April 19, 1969. Pink and silver roses accented the room while couples danced to the music of the g'Glass Key. Pictures were taken in a garden background of pink and purple flowers that made the setting complete. Cookies and punch were served by sophomores Melanie Evers, Maureen Costanzo and Elaine Rocks. Q ,ec 'BE In A Garden Of Love Is Junior Prom if fAbovej Becky Peterson was presented with a bouquet of red roses and Mark Lawhead a royal scepter as they were crowned King and Queen for the evening. Other Royalty included fAbove Leftj Steve Williams, Mike Evers, Linda Campbell, Kay Hoffman and CBelow Leftj Allen Rogers and Ken Jeffries, Deatra Martz and Julie McAlister. fBelow Rightj Refreshments are being enjoyed by couples as they relax in the pleasant atmosphere.
