West Valley has its share of unique people, people who have special talents, people who do exceptional things These people laols lilse anyone else during school when seen in the halls, out after school, they can oe found on the ice or on a snowmachine or even singing in the boys' restroom Terry DeVries, a mid term graduate, spends much of his time on a snowmachine He races in many local events and has traveled as for as Minnesota to participate l-le graduated in January partly so he could race. Slsating raises up much free time for Senior Patsy Navarro Slsattng since she was young, she has entertained the crowds ot hoclsey games with her graceful routines Nor many high schools can claim to have five members from one family at once However, West' hos the pleasure to educate five Nances: Tim, Bill, Kara, Gary, and Terry, all at the same time Larry Ising and Reid leglum, students at West, curl with the Fairoanlss Curling Cluo on a team with two Lathrop students This year, they won the Aloslsa Junior Curling Championship and journeyed to Colorado Springs to compete in the national tournament, Some afternoon alter school, if you happen to hear harmonies flooring from the ooys' resrroom, don'r be alarmed, its lust the vocal quarter of Arun Sharma, Richard Tremarello, Shane Holmloerg, and Tim Olson They sometimes practice there because ol the echoing sound, out can more frequently be heard in the choir room These are only a few of Wests unique people At a school with such a wide spectrum of students, there ore undoubtedly many more L. ,.ci , H y,.:c'?5-T15 ff?
