J.V. Boys Getting an early start on their basketball careers, de- voted players made up the Junior Varsity boys basketball team. Coach Al Shoats instilled a desire for effort and teamwork, and the boys responded by reigning victorious time and again. Prepared for anything, often a few players would make the step-up to play Varsity ball, still maintaining the skill and spirit of the West Valley Wolfpack! Girls With the aid of Coach Karen Hagglund, the ,78 Junior Varsity girls team developed superior skills which were evident to rivals through-out Region VI and in Anchor- age. The team was used as a second string Varsity, en- abling the girls to gain valuable experience and a glimpse of the exciting future in Varsity Basketball.
