Spirit Leaders Back The Pack Weekly bake sales, button sales, spirit boosting at pep assemblies, and cheering at almost all sports events managed to keep the six Varsity cheerleaders busy! They raised money to travel to Anchorage with the boys and girls basketball teams, and also boosted Wolfpack mo- rale by going to Delta, Eielson and North Pole. Under the leadership of advisor Diadre Dalrymple, and Cap- tain Bridget Baker, these girls showed a great amount of enthusiasm and winning spirit for West Valley. On call cheerleaders spur the team to better efforts. West Valley spirit reached skyhigh Bridget Baker, Lynda Foster, Julie Burud, Cindy Hawkins, Miki Piza, Kris Washeleski. J .V. Pep Boosters On the big day of try-outs, after two weeks of prac- tice, girls were judged on their ability to cheer, their overall appearance, and their poise on the floor. The six chosen for the .I.V. Squad gained experience for future years by cheering for all Junior Varsity athletics.
