3-fa -I b 73 QL we Like A Fine Wine . On October 8, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner said: Like a fine wine, the West Valley football team seems to get better with age. fCoachJ Ted Deleon's vineyard of youthful gridders proved that again Friday night at the Big Dipper when they shut out arch-rival Lathrop, l4-O. The Wolfpack indeed made a devastational comeback! Getting it together after losing the first three games of the season, they completely reversed the trend by reigning victorious over every opposing team the second time around. They wound up an exciting season with their spectacular victory over the previously undefeatable Eielson Ravens, hold- ing them scoreless for the first time in the history of the league!
