Flying Home With '78 An enthusiastic crowd turned up for the homecoming game. But even with zealous cheering, six beautiful floats from all four classes, the choir, Key Club, and the marching band in full regalia, the team lagged behind and the final score was in favor of the plucky Ravens. The Homecoming Dance was acclaimed a success by everyone present. The homecoming court was crowned with Shannon Barnett occupying the throne and Gary Lambert as her consort. They were attended by the Princesses and Princes of the under classes. Q9 4 I Escorted by Prince Dave Lambert is a Freshman Princess Gillian King. Sophomore Princess Mary Van Hoomissen accepts her honor and a flower for Prince, Paul Milan. Radiant Queen Shannon Barnett poses with King Gary Lambert. Juniors Bernice Burns and Russ Talvi bridge the homecoming dance floor.

Spirits '78 An extraordinary collection of creatures crowded the corridors October 31. The Halloween dress-up day allowed the students and faculty to display their creative talents, resulting in everything from potbcllied Arabs to warty witches. Prizes for the scariest, ugliest, funniest, cutest, and most original costumes were awarded. The well-deserved winners were Dan South Cbearj, Laura Winford twitchj, Kim Barnard and Laura Dunkin tTweety and Selvesterj, Kathy Franz fgeniej, and a tie between Woody Knouse CStar Warsj and Craig Bovee tfrogj. Frightfully furbished halls provided a ghoulish setting for the maksed. Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen competed for the honor of being pronounced finest hall decorators, with the Juniors taking first place. The holiday celebration concluded in an Almost Anything Goes contest, including bottle sucking and pie eating competitions. For the final team standings: the Faculty captured first, the Seniors second, the Juniors and Sophomores third, and the Freshmen fourth. Mr. Klepper Gets Down! '79 is looking devine. West Wonder Women. . . , Or is it the Three Stooges? Oh really darling, you look absolutely devine.
