New to Westis x and y department, Mr. Mark Des- inger finds diversion in outdoor activities such as hunt- ing and fishing. Always remembered for his appropriate role as the slightly looney Teddy in the local production of Ars- nic and Old Lace , Mr. Don DeWitt uses his theatrical flair to make his math classes a unique experience. Fascinated by numerous subjects including math- matics, vocal music, and languages, Mrs. Edwina Rod- requez finds that her most rewarding hobby is helping others. A math and skiing whiz, Mr. Morgan Reed also par- ticipates actively in dramatics. Often heard in the halls between classes, Mr. Reed sings in many of the Light Opera productions. A familiar face from the ,77 Student teaching staff has returned this year as a Basci Math, Algebra, and Earth Science instructor. Mr. Mathew J. Steffes is also involved in the class of '8l. Favored as a munchie by Mr. Richard Tarkiainen, pepper and sausage sandwiches give Mr. Tark the energy he uses in coaching the class of '78, and the Wolfpack hockey team. Something for everyone can be found in the reper- toire of Miss Karen Hagglund's hobbies. Sewing and crosscountry skiing are only a few of the favorites of this shorthand and general office practice instructor. The clatter of typewriters sounds as Mrs. Mattie Herning starts her classes.
