Football for West Valley this year was truly fine. Winning all but two games, West Valley made it to second place in the Region VI Conference. Proving their superiority and out- standing ability the Wolfpack led the way through a challenging season . The greatest moment was, of course, the de- feat of arch-rival Lathrop High School. lVlany of the great players were un- derclassmen this past year and will be with the Wolfpack next year. Of the up- perclassmen, Coach DeLeon feels the seniors were terrific in their playing and leadership . Next year, ffl! W 3 ,hx x iff? ,va A.

Please Coach--no more. Cross Country running this year started in mid-August and the folks ran through to the end of September. Super runner, Paula Lotspiech, ran through the front line in first place almost every meet. John Garvey and Leo Lemon tied this past '76 running season as top runners . As the state tournament neared, five West Valley dashers were chosen to race in Sitka . Although the team didn't outrun last year's rec- ords, the cross country team's general improve- ment was evident.
