A new format and choice of newsprint gave THE BLIZZARD a new look. With the late start, the staff had a great deal to catch up on. The lack of the absolutely necessary light tables and other supplies made the production of the paper VERY interesting! ln the end, the year smoothed out and next year looks to be even more organized and successful!! Kiel. As 1977 approached West Valley, some nervous students were seen pacing the halls in front of the de- bate room. With the topic of the year being researched, the first debate tournament was held on January 29 . Throughout the year, the twenty members and advisor, Marcia Burnside, visited Anchorage to compete in vari- ous speaking events, and also hosted the Spring Debate Tournament.
