Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars West Valley's attempt at Thespians this year was slightly hampered due to the late completion of the theatre. There were a number of interested parties but, a lack of facilities. With a play in the air, it was thought that initiation of the eligible to- be Thespians would take place by the middle ofthe school term. However, the play The Solid Gold Cadillac , by Howard Teichmann and George S . Kaufman, was postponed until lVlarch and initiations, though started, were also late . Advisor, Don Dewitt, was a tad let down and disappointed as were all the members of the club. In addition, the theatre going audience had to patiently sit-out the cancellation. And the Beat Goes on. This year West Valley's Wolfpack Concert Band was bigger and better than ever. With membership totaling 75, a large variety of instruments and students combined to make the Concert Band a big success . Under the guidance of Captain, Leonard Neidhold, Lieutenant, Brian Gray, Secretary, Virginia Coty, Treasurer, Cheryl Winters, Librarian Vicki Rauk: Manager, Eric Patton, five concerts were presented locally, along with musical back-up for graduating Seniors from West Valley and Monroe High Schools . Half of the year, energy was expended toward various money making projects . M84M's, placemats, and ice-cream sales provided travel to Southeast Alaska for this annual South- eastern Alaska Tour. None of their activities could have been made possible without the superb guidance of advisor, George Wiese .
