If After servmg 1n the Navy dur1ng World War II Mr Clemons returned to hxs chosen career that of teachmg Vocat1ona1 Agr1cu1ture When he came to West Umty 1h 1950 he 1mmed1ately set to work burldmg the local F F A Chapter 1nto an asset to the school and cornrnumty Smce that t1rne the Chapter has accomphshed these goals four gold ratmgs 1n the State Chapter Contest f1ve part1c1pat1ons 1n d1str1ct and state Judgmg contests three gold rat1ngs rn the Parharnentary Procedure Contest and three state awards 1n safety and hlghway safety contests Prevlous to 19 50 our Chapter had only two State Farmers We now boast s1x and three more boys are candxdates th1s year wlth one nomxnee for Amerlcan Farmer All of these accornphshments have been due to h1s never endlng dr1ve to help the boys better the department and chapter Local state and nat10nal recogmtlon IS the result We salute Karl for that IS the t1t1e by whlch everyone knows h1m for h1s excellent Job mn guxdmg our chapter through fwe years of commendable achxeve ments.
