DEDICATION We, the graduating class of June. 1964, proudly dedicate our yearbook to Miss Joyce Nader, teacher and friend of many students. Miss Nader was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended John Adams High School, where she was active in many clubs and worked on the school newspaper. She was the first in her school to be a member of the National Honor Society. Miss Nader had decided to become a lawyer and teacher in the third grade. She began to work toward the fulfillment of her ambition by attending Flora Stone Mather College at Western Reserve University. There she received her degrees in political science. She continued her education by enrolling at Kent State University, where she worked for her Master’s degree in education. Later she attended night school for four years at the Cleveland Marshall Law School in order to receive her law degree. Miss Nader first taught physical education and fencing at Western Reserve University. She came to West Tech as an American History teacher in September, 1954. Previously she had taught at Brownell Junior High School. In 1956 Miss Nader began to teach commercial law in addition to American History. She was also a guidance counselor from I960 to 1962. Mr. Goodman, chairman of the social studies department at West Tech, had this to say about Miss Nader: “Miss Nader is a master teacher. Like every master teacher at West Tech, she is dedicated wholeheartedly to serving her pupils and the school. She is a great asset to the social studies department. Miss Nader's determination and willingness to assist and guide the students at West Tech has won her the admiration of all the graduating seniors. Dedicating this yearbook to her is only a small way in which the students want to express their appreciation for all the memorable moments that she has passed on to them. We wish her a successful future and continual happiness. n
