But Always Forward. ” v 4M Whether it is a running step of the football team, a fast gait of a baseball player, the saun- ter of a couple, the stroll of friends, the new dance steps at an informal party, or the brisk stride of students going to classes makes no dif- ference. These are forward steps. Little by lit- tle, day by day, and step by step; we are push- ing West forward. By doing so, we increase our own capacity to learn, to do, and to understand. The bell rings and homeroom period is over. Doors are thrown open and students rush into the hall from all directions. Our future track stars exercise everyday by run- ning the three-minute mile from Mr. Henkel ' s homeroom to the mobile unit. However, some students find it hard to walk from room 210 to room 209 in the allotted three minutes.
