JAMES EDWARD TUCKER MELVIN PATRICK TUCKER BRENDA SUE TURNER “ Knowledge comes, LARRY BURNS TURNER In the fall of 1962 a swarm of excited students entered West Stan- ly to be her very first sophomores. Soon the long halls, the bright class- rooms, and the long cafeteria line were all familiar surroundings. People who had never seen each other before became best friends. The phrase we used to do turned into we ' re going to do -- we are still doing. Then the day came when we were proud juniors. We found ourselves doing traditional things. In December, the junior play, A Man Called Peter was presented. At a class meeting, we decided upon our motto, Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers ; our flower, the red rose; and our colors, red and white. Ah! The life of a junior is so short. Can it be that we are on top? that we are seniors? that we set the example? 32
