Evaluation for one Week period The Visiting Committee, a group representing the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, evaluated West Side High for one week in November. The committee included teachers, administrators, college representatives, and officials from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The basic aim of the school evaluation was to improve the quality of learning and the total educational environment of students. Evaluators checked the availibility of facilities necessary to serve student needs. A ten year accreditation resulted from this evaluation. Record patrons for 6La Mancha, A record number of patrons and sponsors marked Man of La Mancha as one of the most successful musicals in past years. The play concerned the adventures of Cervantes' immortal knight-errant Don Quixote and his squire, Sancho Panza and involved a cast of about 40 students. Directed by Mr. John D, Shuster, the annual musical was presented on April 5, 6, and 7. Mrs. Kathleen Delorey and Mr. john Hartford assisted.
