Team support shown at rally With the return of the traditional skits, the Agawam Rally drew an excited crowd. Many students took part in the numerous skits aimed at mustering spirit. The rally also displayed its serious side as cheerleader Cherie Sheppard recited an original poem in which she expressed her feelings about seeing her last West Side football game. M r. Gordon Pillsbury described the intense feelings experienced by the athletes as they prepared for the annual rivalry, and shared with the crowd his hopes for a victory. Gifts were presented to senior players, who spoke encouragingly to the crowd about the up-coming game, The cheerleaders also presented a special gift to Billy May, a faithful follower of the West Side team, for his support throughout the season.
