Curriculum Changes Principal Robert C. Shields As the high school administrator, Prin- cipal Robert C. Shields is responsible for initiating and implementing changes which are occurring in all areas. A major procedural improvement resulted from the installation of IBM equipment, which has streamlined the voluminous record- keeping processes. An intercommunica- tions system was also put into use this year. In keeping with our growth, West Springfield now has two vice-principals to assist Mr. Shields in running the school. George A. Bauman, who assumed the position in September, works closely with teachers and students, handling problems and directing the student patrol. Because of his special training, Raymond W. Williamson, vice-principal here since 1962, has the added responsibility of supervising the operation of the elec- tronic equipment. Vice-Principals Raymond W. Williamson, George A. Bauman.
