Pictured above is Mr. Dumars, Driving Teacher and the dual- control car which was given to us by the Harris-Sergeant Garage in Albion for use in our driver training course. A great many Students have taken this course and have benefited by it. It has also helped those not taking the course by making them more cautious of their driving. At the beginning of the second semester Mr. Dumars left for a new position in Greenville and Mr. Carson took his place as Instructor. The boys were under the able guidance of Mr. Griffen and the girls Mrs. Johnson. At our first class meeting we chose the following to lead our class: President, Dick Skeel, Vice-President, Jack Palo, Secretary, Donald Butts and Treasurer Lynn Brady. As our first activity for the year we held a Halloween Dance October 30. Then came the annual Jr. Magazine Sales which helps finance the Junior-- Senior Prom. During our second Class meeting we decided to hold a Christmas Dance. Betty Brooks was chosen Queen of it. After we returned from Christmas Vacation, we had two more tasks which we had to complete before becoming Seniors. The Class play was held in March and the Prom was held on May 17. 'Tw - IIUIIURG BUSINESS leaoens ln February our commercial students decided to follow the trend of other local high schools and affiliate with a state and national business organization--The Future Business Leaders of America. Asaclub group, we took several field trips and joined with Albion's Club for social activities. However, our main accomplishments were the receiving of our charter, installation of our officers, and the sending of dele- gates to our state convention. We hope we have laid a good foundation for the pro- gress of next year's F.B.L.A. who will carry out the following purposes. 1. Develop competent, agressive business leadership. 2. Strengthen the confidence of young men and women in themselves and their work. 3. Create more interest and understanding in the in- telligent choice of business occupations. FRONT ROW: B.
