The class of 1951 proudly and gratefully dedicates our Yearbook to Mr Fred Baxter, maintenance man, student friend, christian gentle man, and public steward Small things often go unnoticed no matter how important they may be For many years we have had a warm clean school in which to study and prepare for future that is now so close at hand These have taken more than a few minutes work The school grounds are the pride of the community because of his excellent care His work is not finished when the school term ends The clean lawns and nicely mown grass also takes his time during the sum er months Hr Baxter also helps to install any new equipment and does various odd jobs around the school that often are seemingly not noticed Yet these small things help to make our school one of which to be proud Although he isn't active in all our activities, yet without his assistance in the preparation for the various events throughout the year we could not have had so many pleasant times to remember For his assistance in the gymnasium in keeping the floor waxed, in taking down and putting back the bleachers and arranging the chairs for dances, plays and assemblies, we are all very grateful Mr Baxter is a good friend to all who know him He takes an interest in all the students and helps them whenever possible In appreciation for his part in furthering our education, and making our high school days pleasant, it gives us, the class of l95l great pleasure in dedicating this book to him.
